Desalto Ellis Table — Designed by Archirivolto (Pocci & Dondoli), 2021

The Ellis Table by Desalto is a study in refined simplicity — a dining (or occasional) table that balances presence and restraint with equal poise. Its design transforms a dining surface into a sculptural element, suitable for both indoor and outdoor contexts, thanks to careful material choices and thoughtful proportions.

Design & Inspiration

• Ellis draws from archetypal, monolithic table shapes — clean geometry, understated structure, and a sense of calm solidity. The designers aimed for a piece that feels timeless yet contemporary, capable of defining a space or blending quietly into it.
• A distinctive design gesture is the pronounced overhang of the tabletop: the wide surface floats above the slender base, creating a visual tension that gives the table elegance and a light, almost floating presence.
• Part of a family designed to work in varied settings — from intimate home dining rooms to larger communal or contract spaces, including outdoor-adapted versions
